Own your opportunity to support national defense. Your work will help keep critical operations secure and connected across the global enterprise directly, contributing to a mission that protects our nation every day.
CIO Infrastructure Services (CIS) is growing, and we invite both our experienced incumbents and new team members to be part of what's next. Incumbents bring invaluable mission insight, while new talent adds fresh ideas and energy. Together, we'll strengthen continuity and drive the next generation of innovation.
As a Configuration Manager supporting CIS, you are responsible for maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and traceability of the technical baselines, documentation artifacts, and configuration items that define the Enterprise IT Infrastructure (EII). You help guarantee that all changes made to infrastructure systems are properly documented, approved, versioned, and accessible throughout the system's lifecycle.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintain configuration baselines for EII systems, services, diagrams, SOPs, implementation documentation, and related technical artifacts, ensuring accuracy and consistency across the enterprise
- Track and manage configuration changes resulting from engineering, operations, or tech refresh activities; ensure changes follow customer processes and are captured in controlled documentation sets
- Maintain inventory and cataloging of EII systems to support configuration management, communications management, change management, and risk management
- Manage the knowledge management repository, ensuring all configuration items and technical documentation are accessible, properly indexed, permissioned, and linked to operational systems.
- Support engineering and operations by ensuring all configuration assets, including test reports, sustainment plans, training plans, and deployment cut sheets, are controlled and consistent with approved baselines.
