Site Reliability Engineer
This Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team at Experian is responsible for the cloud infrastructure and observability for the entire Experian Consumer Information Services (CIS North America) division. They are seeking a true SRE for the team to help continuously improve how they build, monitor, secure and run their rapidly growing cloud platform. Much of their software development focuses on building infrastructure and eliminating work through automation.
On this SRE team, you will have opportunity to use your expertise in coding, system design, thinking outside the box, and analytical skills to provide reliable cloud infrastructure and observability tools for the rest of the product development teams.
The team is looking for a capable and technical resource, ideally someone on the path from mid to senior level, with the ability to learn and grow quickly in a SRE capacity. The hiring manager will also consider someone who is more on the development side with strong Python skills, as long as they know terraform and AWS.
• Strong Systems Experience– Linux, networking, cloud, APIs
• Scripting language Programming – Shell, Python
• Strong Debugging Capability
• AWS Platform – IAM, Network, EC2, Lambda, S3, Cloud Watch
• Knowledge on Terraform, Packer, Ansible, Jenkins
• Observability – Prometheus, InfluxDB, Dynatrace, Grafana, Splunk
• Dev Sec Ops – CI/CD - Jenkins
• Microservices
• Security & Access Management
• Container Orchestration a plus - Kubernetes, Docker etc.
• Big Data Platforms knowledge EMR, Databricks, Cloudera a plus
Looking for a true Site Reliability Engineer, this team is not interested in core Dev Ops and CI/CD automation, although it is fine if the candidate has some experience there, as long as their focus is SRE. This team is primarily focused on a strong SRE with Python programming/automation experience in AWS... This person will be setting up AWS cloud infrastructure with Python.
We’ve placed Cloud Engineers and Python Developers in this role on this team, so those could be good options as well.

Strong with Python with regards to scripting and automation with AWS (Knows "how do you set up EC2 container with Python, etc.")
They should have a good understanding of Container Security as well (Docker/Kubernetes)
