Position Overview

The Director of Information Technology is a newly created position due to growth and is responsible for overseeing and supporting the organization’s information technology environment. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this role serves as the primary internal owner of IT operations for the holding company and works closely with third-party service providers to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable technology across the organization.

This position will play a hands‑on role in managing the centralized Microsoft environment and other core business systems, supporting system integrations, and resolving day‑to‑day technology issues as needed. In addition, the Director will play a key role in IT governance and compliance, supporting IT general controls in a public‑company environment. The ideal candidate is comfortable balancing strategic oversight with direct, hands‑on execution.

The anticipated hiring range for the position is $110,500-$130,000 base salary plus discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity.

As a Director, you will lead:
  • Process Optimization: Identify and implement opportunities for IT process improvement across the holding company and its member companies; implement best practices and performance metrics to measure and drive improvements.
  • IT & Cybersecurity Strategy: In conjunction with third party vendors, assist with implementing and ensuring compliance with a centralized IT and Cybersecurity strategy, including company policy development, process improvements, security protocols, and IT governance.
  • Technology Systems Implementation: Oversee central Microsoft environment and other core business systems; ensure seamless groupwide integration and system performance.
  • General Technology Support: Provide IT support and advice to the direct employees of the holding company; solve internal IT issues and elevate to managed service provider when needed to improve internal infrastructure; provide IT advice to the member companies of PPHC.
  • Vendor Management: Manage vendor relationships with various outside IT partners internally for the holding company, including managed service provider, cybersecurity consultants, and other partners; liaise with member companies and audit and test security protocols.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Serve as a liaison to the audit committee to ensure adherence to regulatory, security, and IT standards in line with requirements for publicly traded companies; ensure IT general controls are SOX compliant and liaise directly with external auditors on system controls and disclosures.
  • Cross‑Functional

    Collaboration:

    Provide support and assistance to other finance, accounting, HR, and administrative functions and operating units of PPHC.
  • Perform other duties as necessary to achieve departmental and company‑wide goals.
To be successful, you will need:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, preferably in Computer Science or other related fields
  • 5+ years of experience in IT
  • Work experience in a midsize or large organization
  • Experience operating in a publicly traded company
  • Experience managing, overseeing, or auditing IT security and compliance controls
  • Experience with system and software integrations
  • Experience working with MSPs
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point
  • Proven ability to operate with integrity, ethics, and confidentiality
