We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Unified Communications Integration Engineer to integrate and deploy the world's first Cloud‑Based Emergency Real‑Time Communication Platform.

You will be responsible for the interoperability and assimilation of highly available, Elastic, Robust, Multi‑Tenant, and Self‑Healing RTC and VoIP signaling services, ensuring high SLA and 5‑nines uptime while complying with stringent security, authentication, and authorization standards. You will work closely with Carbyne's Operations team and act as the technical liaison between Engineering and Business for all UC‑related activities.

• Work as part of a real‑time communication team in the Carbyne operation group to deliver a highly available 911 infrastructure.
• Configure and troubleshoot Carbyne's novel emergency communication platform.
• Provide clients with customized communication solutions for Carbyne's unified communication services.
• Install, maintain, integrate, and contribute to PBX projects and UC solutions.
• Create and maintain technical specs and solution documents.
• Onboard new customers in alignment with their requirements and solution specifications using Carbyne's best practices.
• Provide technical support and training for the Operations team on 911 emergency communications systems.
• Develop a strong understanding of unified communications architecture, networking, and cloud computing.
• Interact with internal stakeholders:
  Carbyne's Operations, R&D, Sales, CTO Office, and Product Managers.

• Proven experience with VoIP architecture and hands‑on installation of open‑source UC (e.g., Kamailio, Free SWITCH, Asterisk).
• Extensive knowledge of VoIP deployments and protocols such as SIP, SDP, RTP, Web RTC, and related troubleshooting; understanding of video/audio codecs, packetization, encryption, and transport.
• 3+ years of experience deploying open‑source VoIP solutions.
• 3+ years of networking experience, with deep knowledge of the OSI model and all its layers.
• Good understanding of Linux environments, including bash scripting.
• Hands‑on experience deploying on private and public network/security clouds (AWS).

• Industry certifications such as CCIE, CCNP, CCNA Voice.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of AWS infrastructure.

The starting base annual pay for this role ranges from $141,000 to $188,000 USD, excluding commission or bonuses. Actual compensation structures vary based on level, function, training, experience, business needs, and geographic market. Axon offers a comprehensive total compensation package, including base salary, generous annual bonus, and equity awards.
