The program operates and maintains IT infrastructure, enabling the customer to serve as a customer service organization dedicated to providing IT leadership, products, and support.
AboutThe Role
Peraton is currently seeking skilled and qualified candidates for an Asset Management Specialist to join our team on the DOL ITOM program. The primary responsibility for this job is the management of and reporting on client IT assets. This position requires strong communication skills. The person in this position will be meeting with stakeholders, interfacing customers as well as collaborating with the asset management team, service desk as well as other operations teams.
This role requires individuals who are highly self-motivated, utilize effective communication skills, and can quickly solve problems.
- Ensuring that asset records are kept current in Service Now throughout an assets lifecycle.
- Updating tickets in Service Now
- Managing request tickets
- Unboxing, Boxing, Shipping if IT equipment.
- Interact with hardware vendors
- Responsible for picking up, distributing, as well as preparing equipment for disposal.
- Processing inventory within the building may use scanning tools
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree with 0+ years' experience or high school diploma/GED with 4+ years' experience
- U.S. Citizenship
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
- Ability to utilize Microsoft Excel and Word
- Ability to lift (25lbs) of IT equipment, laptops/desktops/monitors
- Experience in the field of IT Asset Management
- Experience with Service Now or other ITSM Tools
- Experience in customer service
Target Salary Range: $39,000 - $62,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
