We are seeking a Senior AI Consultant and Strategist to help our customers advance the adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) through practical, mission-aligned strategies and implementation planning. This role will help our customers translate emerging AI capabilities into actionable modernization solutions that reflect their priorities, constraints, and operating realities. The Senior AI Consultant will also translate AI roadmaps into actionable initiatives and projects that operationalize AI responsibly and deliver measurable value across agency mission-support and mission-delivery functions.
This highly collaborative, solution-oriented role operates at the intersection of business strategy, technology, and operations. The ideal candidate stays current on AI trends and technologies and can engage business and technical stakeholders effectively to guide investment decisions, shape use cases, and support the sustainable adoption of AI.
Responsibilities- Facilitate the development of AI strategies and roadmaps aligned with customer missions, priorities, and operational realities.
- Advise customers on AI investment planning, use-case prioritization, and value realization.
- Lead stakeholder engagements to assess organizational readiness, data maturity, and change-management considerations.
- Translate complex AI concepts into clear, actionable recommendations for business, operations, and other non-technical audiences.
- Identify and define high-impact AI use cases across programs, operations, and service delivery.
- Support the evaluation and selection of AI technologies and solutions, including vendor, platform, and algorithm considerations.
- Develop frameworks for responsible AI adoption, including governance, risk management, and oversight.
- Facilitate requirements-gathering, working, design, development, and implementation sessions to build alignment among senior leaders, technical teams, and operations stakeholders.
- Support early-stage implementation planning, including operating-model design, workforce impacts, and adoption strategy.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Experience working in a Big 5 firm is a plus, but not a requirement.
- U.S. citizenship and residence within the Washington, DC, or Baltimore metropolitan area.
- Four or more years of experience in consulting, strategy, or technology advisory roles.
- Strong understanding of key AI concepts and technologies, including large language models, generative AI, machine learning, and automation.
- Demonstrated experience supporting AI initiatives.
- Experience translating technical capabilities into business-relevant strategies and actionable plans.
- Ability to facilitate discussions with executive leaders, technical teams, and operations teams.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to simplify complex topics for non-technical audiences.
- Proven ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments and develop practical, solution-oriented approaches.
