Our client is seeking a GIS Developer to support the delivery of a new enterprise GIS initiative focused on building, facilities and campus infrastructure information.
Working within a collaborative project team, you will help design, develop and implement GIS solutions that improve the collection, management and visualisation of building and asset information. The role involves rebuilding and enhancing existing GIS capabilities while contributing to the development of a scalable platform that supports future business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and configure GIS applications, data models and workflows.
- Build and maintain spatial datasets relating to buildings, facilities and campus assets.
- Develop GIS automation and data integration processes.
- Support the migration and enhancement of existing GIS functionality.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to translate operational requirements into GIS solutions.
- Contribute to the design of an enterprise GIS architecture that can expand as new requirements emerge.
- Assist with testing, documentation and deployment of GIS solutions.
- Strong experience with Esri technologies, including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online.
- Experience developing GIS solutions using Python, Arcade and the ArcGIS API ecosystem.
- Knowledge of spatial databases, data modelling and ETL processes (FME experience highly regarded).
- Experience integrating GIS with enterprise asset or facilities management systems is advantageous.
- Ability to work closely with business users to gather requirements and deliver practical solutions.
- Strong problem-solving, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience in higher education, government or large enterprise environments.
- Knowledge of building, facilities, engineering or asset management data.
- Experience delivering enterprise GIS implementations from concept through deployment.
