Senior REACT JS Developer

• Design, develop, and test applications using React JS technologies across development, QA, and production
• Understand current system infrastructure, security needs, network considerations, and development methodologies
• Integrate designs and wireframes into application code
• Write JavaScript application interface code and translate designs into quality code
• Optimize components across browsers and devices
• Develop responsive web-based user interfaces and support the organization’s application ecosystem
• Write clean, scalable ReactJS code
• Refactor, debug, test, and deploy applications and systems
• Improve existing Java applications and systems
• Develop documentation throughout the development lifecycle
• Provide technical support to teams, District agencies, personnel, and stakeholders
• Ensure technologies use current, stable, compliant architecture meeting enterprise standards
• Collaborate with internal teams on software design and architecture
• Monitor and report performance utilization of assigned technologies
• Troubleshoot software and hardware issues and failures
• Manage problem tickets, escalations, tasks, and out-of-cycle requests
• Advise customers on effective use of systems and determine courses of action for business needs
• Identify broader issues across integrated technologies and communicate appropriately
• Coordinate application developer activities when required
• Identify product best practices and standards
• Support and design industry-specific applications integrating with statewide systems
• Interact with executive-level business users and technical experts
• Function as a niche technical subject matter expert when needed

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent experience
• 10 years of web development experience
• 3 years working with React.js
• 3 years working with ReactJS, RXJS, NodeJS, and ES6/5
• 3 years of REDUX architecture experience
• 3 years working with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and Angular 2.0
• Knowledge of JavaScript object model, DOM manipulation, event handlers, data structures, algorithms, JSX, Babel, REST/RPC APIs, and Agile methodologies
• Experience with Red Hat Open Shift container-based application development
• Experience with Tomcat, Jetty, or Undertow application servers
• Ability to develop, test, deploy, refactor, and debug applications
• Ability to troubleshoot software and hardware issues
• Ability to provide technical support and consultative expertise
• Ability to interact with executive-level business users and technical experts
