Senior Functional Trainer
Micro Health is seeking a Senior Functional Trainer to support our client in Washington, DC. On-site support required. CONUS and OCONUS travel required. Active Secret Clearance required. Responsibilities include providing worldwide support, performing training activities, and providing guidance for health IT training tasks. The role involves user training, both on-site and remotely, for maintaining user skills and educating users about system enhancements.
It also includes train-the-super user training, organizing training sessions specific to various roles in MED, and supporting the coordination, development, and delivery of computer-related training to the health IT community. The position requires second level support and coordination with help desks, providing standards, services, and guidance on health IT related training programs. The plan shall include a recommended training strategy for the EHR rollout and ongoing support, as well as supporting training documentation including manuals and training materials specific to the EHR system.
Qualifications include a minimum of four years of experience in training and development, human resources, education, or instructional design; prior experience of at least four to six years in industry as a trainer; an additional 4 years of relevant experience may be considered as a substitute. Must possess exceptional interpersonal skills and superior oral and written communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent planning and time management skills, proficiency in computer technology and Microsoft Office applications, and a strong ability to convey complex information in a way that students understand are required.
Must possess/maintain a minimum active SECRET clearance. Physical demands include sitting, walking, using hands to finger, handle or feel, reaching with hands and arms, talking or hearing, standing occasionally, and lifting or moving objects up to 5 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
