About the Role:

You'll join a collaborative, high-performing engineering team delivering mission-critical infrastructure and reliability solutions within the highest levels of the federal government. This is a systems-leaning SRE role — focused on stability, automation, incident response, and platform observability rather than application development. You'll work alongside Platform Engineers, Dev Sec Ops  engineers, PostgreSQL DBAs, and Software Developers in a fast-paced, classified environment supporting a large, multi-customer federal organization.

What You'll Do:

• Design, deploy, and maintain mission-critical application workloads on Kubernetes and virtualized environments, ensuring scalability, availability, and government compliance
• Build and sustain automated CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, alerting, and configuration management workflows across development, integration, staging, and production environments
• Provision and maintain developer environments and tool chains to enable rapid, secure, and efficient software delivery
• Identify and eliminate friction across the software development lifecycle, building developer-first platform experiences
• Own incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement activities across a large, multi-customer organization
• Communicate clearly and confidently with senior stakeholders and high-visibility customers

What You'll Need:

• Active Top Secret clearance (required at time of hire; SCI sponsorship available)
• DoD 8140 certification — Security+ or higher (required)
• 7+ years of experience in systems engineering, SRE, or operations with direct ownership of production availability and reliability
• Heavy Kubernetes experience — this is the core technical requirement for this role
• Familiarity with F5 or equivalent enterprise load-balancing platforms
• Experience with Helm, Docker, Selenium, Ansible, and Git Lab CI/CD automation
• Experience with Bash scripting and Desired State Configuration
• Experience with container-native and object storage solutions (MinIO, Port Worx, S3-compatible services)
• Ability to contribute immediately with minimal ramp-up in a mission-critical classified environment
• Flexibility for on-call rotation participation — structure varies across supported task forces
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related engineering field preferred; relevant experience may substitute

Compensation and Benefits:
