- Mine, synthesize, and analyze large data sets using computer programs
- Identify trends, communicate results, and recommend solutions based on findings
- Generate visualizations using Tableau and other analytical software
- Develop and maintain electronic databases and spreadsheets
- Streamline processes as needed
- Conduct detailed research and analysis and put results into action
- Gather, review, and summarize literature and data from public-domain, specialized industry, client, public, and commercial databases
- Use relevant software tools, analytical methods, and computer models to develop solutions
- Audit own work product and the work product of others to assure quality
- Participate in a team environment and meet client deadlines and quality expectations
- Participate in group practice meetings
- Provide creative recommendations that bring value to clients
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in statistics, biostatistics, econometrics, mathematics, computer science, or another related subject
- 5+ years of prior work experience required, preferably in the healthcare industry
- Proven capability with analytical software
- SAS required
- MS Excel required
- Tableau strongly preferred
- SQL, Snowflake, R, or similar experience preferred
- Knowledge of database theory and design preferred
- Knowledge of report writing preferred
- Knowledge of CMS quality measure methodology preferred, including CMS Star Ratings, Hospital Value-Based Purchasing, Hospital Acquired Condition Reduction Program, and Hospital Readmission Reduction Program
- Commitment to producing high-quality analysis and attention to detail
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Desire to work within a team environment
- Must be able to submit verification of legal right to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship
Expertise in data analysis and visualization, with proficiency in SAS, MS Excel, and Tableau. Strong background in healthcare analytics, including knowledge of CMS quality measure methodologies and the ability to produce high-quality, actionable insights.
