As a data analyst at Booz Allen, you can use your skills to support a mission and use data for good. We need a data analyst like you to bring your knowledge to empower customers to understand data and improve decision-making.

As a client-facing data analyst on our National Security team, you'll work closely with your clients to understand their questions and needs and then dig into their data-rich environments to help find the pieces of their information puzzle. Not only will you extract and evaluate their data, but you'll also help your client interpret the information and recommend how it can be used to make an impact on government decisions and optimizing federal systems.

You'll Contribute:

As a data analyst on our team, you'll:

  • Use your technical knowledge to support client and stakeholder relationships within the National Security Sector.
  • Research, develop, and test data methodologies.
  • Generate cross-functional solutions through the collection, analysis, modeling, and visualization of large data sets.
  • Contribute to impactful work and guide decision-making across multiple organizations.
  • Apply your data skills and analytical mindset by simplifying technical requirements and trends, based on audience.
  • Present data findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders using your knowledge of data analysis and visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Python, and R.
  • Establish quantitative and qualitative metrics and key performance indicators to drive technical outcomes.
  • Apply data visualization insights through different formats such as graphs, tables, and PowerPoint slides.
  • Grow your communication and technical skills by creating data-centric solutions across the National Security Sector.

You Have:
  • Experience synthesizing structured and unstructured data, developing data methodologies, and building data-driven solutions to support client decision-making
  • Experience leveraging Python for data manipulation and analysis
  • Experience creating interactive dashboards and visualizations using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or R
  • Knowledge of data analytics concepts, quantitative and qualitative metrics or KPI development, and best practices for converting complex data sets into clear graphs, tables, and presentation materials
  • Ability to lead client briefings, facilitate interactive data workshops, and adapt quickly to shifting client priorities and complex mission problems
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, CS, Information Systems, or Mathematics
Nice If You Have:
  • Experience with scripting tools such as Python or Power Shell
  • Knowledge of database querying such as SQL, cloud data platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Snowflake, or basic statistical modeling techniques
  • Secret clearance
  • Master's degree in Data Analytics, Analytics, Data Science, or a related technical field
  • Tableau Certified Data Analyst, Microsoft Certified:
    Power BI Data Analyst Associate, or AWS Certified Data Analytics Certification
