Network Specialist Duties

As a Network Specialist you will perform the following duties:

  • Determines networking needs and installs/reviews hardware and software to maintain network integrity and accessibility.
  • Provides technical guidance, coordination, and advice for the planning, integration, upgrade, and maintenance of agency-wide and regional network hardware and systems.
  • Conducts research to develop or acquire new IT products and services that increase system and user efficiency.
  • Leads or participates in agency-wide network and IT program projects from design through support.
  • Develops and designs methods and processes for testing, demonstrating, and prototyping new network technologies.
