Description:
Seneca Resources is seeking a Dev Ops Engineer to support a high-profile federal technology program in Washington, DC
. This is a 100% onsite opportunity supporting mission-critical infrastructure and cloud environments for a federal customer.
We are looking for engineers who thrive in highly secure environments and have hands-on experience building, automating, and maintaining modern infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Kubernetes, AWS, Linux administration, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and automation technologies

- Design, deploy, and maintain containerized applications using Kubernetes
. - Build, enhance, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure deployments.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and system administration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management tools.
- Administer and support AWS cloud environments
, ensuring performance, availability, and security. - Manage Linux and Windows Server environments through automation and scripting.
- Implement and maintain security best practices across cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, and application issues across development and production environments.
- Collaborate with software engineers, system administrators, and security teams in an Agile environment.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on automation, scalability, reliability, and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Active Top Secret Clearance (required before start date).
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 2+ years of professional experience in Dev Ops, Cloud Engineering, Systems Administration, Platform Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).
- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
- Experience administering AWS cloud infrastructure and services.
- Experience with Linux administration
. - Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline development and deployment automation.
- Experience supporting secure enterprise infrastructure in a collaborative technical environment.
- Experience with automation and configuration management tools including:
- Ansible
- Chef
- Puppet
- AWS Systems Manager
- Experience with scripting using Bash
, Shell
, or Power Shell
. - Experience with CI/CD platforms such as:
- Git Lab CI
- Git Hub Actions
- Jenkins
- Experience using Infrastructure as Code tools including:
- Terraform
- AWS Cloud Formation
- Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies.
