10015 Information Resources Pay Range $82,222.40 - $The Application Analyst I serves as a key member of the HSCSN technology team, supporting application solutions that enable health plan operations, regulatory compliance, and strategic initiatives. Working closely with operational, clinical, financial, technology, and analytics stakeholders across the health plan, this role assists with the configuration, maintenance, testing, implementation, and ongoing support of business applications supporting claims, membership and eligibility, provider operations, utilization management, care management, appeals and grievances, and other core business functions.

The Application Analyst I partners with business and technical teams to understand requirements, support workflow improvements, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to system enhancements that improve operational effectiveness and user experience. The successful candidate combines strong analytical, technical, and communication skills with an interest in healthcare technology and a commitment to developing expertise in health plan operations and enterprise applications.

Experience with healthcare payer operations or enterprise business applications is preferred; experience with Epic technologies is a plus.

The Epic Application Analyst I is responsible for the design, build, testing, validation, maintenance, and ongoing support of Clinical or Revenue Cycle applications. This role collaborates across interdisciplinary teams, serving as a trusted partner to clinical, financial, and operational stakeholders to optimize system functionality and enhance user experience.

Minimum Education Bachelor's Degree Bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university with major course work in computer science, Information Technology, engineering, or equivalent related experience. (Required)
Minimum Work Experience1 year One (1) year of experience in the analysis, design, build, testing, and maintenance of Epic EMR or other EMR applications, with a strong understanding of healthcare workflows related to electronic medical record systems. (Required)1 year Preferred:
Working knowledge and subject matter expertise in the assigned operational department area. (Preferred)

Ability to assist with troubleshooting basic system issues and contribute to finding solutions for simple workflow challenges in healthcare and revenue cycle settings.

Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with team members and stakeholders, document tasks clearly, and ask questions as needed to understand requirements.

Project Coordination & Time Management:
Able to manage small tasks, prioritize assignments, and complete them within deadlines while maintaining quality standards with guidance.

Healthcare & Revenue Cycle Knowledge:
Basic understanding of healthcare operations, clinical workflows, and revenue cycle processes to learn how Epic systems are used within the organization.

Adaptability & Resilience:
Willingness to adapt to changing priorities, learn new tasks, and maintain productivity in a fast-paced healthcare IT environment.

Collaboration & Teamwork:
Works well within a team, seeks help when needed, and contributes to team goals by supporting shared objectives.
