In this position you will play a critical role, developing new innovative ways to use data to gain insight and strategic advantage, through the development of new tools and techniques, that will assist analysts in their regular intelligence duties. Incumbent does this through a variety of methods, metrics, statistics, research, and data collection. This position starts at a salary of $ (GS-13, Step

Duties Include:
Serving as a subject matter expert in data science, applying advanced techniques to extract, clean, model, and analyze structured and unstructured data to support intelligence and operational decision‑making. Designing, developing, and customizing data visualization tools, dashboards, and applications using Power BI, O365, and other platforms to present findings and support business requirements. Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements, translate needs into technical solutions, and provide guidance on data governance and management practices.
Preparing and presenting technical reports, briefs, and recommendations to management and partner organizations, conveying complex data insights in a clear and actionable manner. Developing innovative strategies and tools to enhance data‑driven processes, improve operational efficiency, and support long‑range research and development initiatives.

Basic Requirements:
Degree:
Mathematics, statistics, computer science, data science or field directly related to the position. The degree must be in a major field of study (at least at the baccalaureate level) that is appropriate for the position. or Combination of education and experience:
Courses equivalent to a major field of study (30 semester hours) as shown in paragraph A above, plus additional education or appropriate experience. AND You qualify for this position if you meet the basic requirement listed above and possess the experience as described below:
