About the Role

Redhorse transforms the way government uses data and technology. To support this mission, we are seeking aSenior Strategic Infrastructure Protection Analyst to support the execution of the Air Force Directorate of Civil Engineers (AF/A4C) Strategic Implementation Plan (SIP).

In this role, you will be at the forefront of advancing enterprise-level initiatives that harden, protect, and modernize Department of the Air Force (DAF) installations worldwide. You will partner with senior leaders across Headquarters Air Force (HAF), AFCEC, AFIMSC, MAJCOMs, and Combatant Commands to develop forward-looking policy, governance frameworks, and decision-support products that ensure critical infrastructure survivability and mission assurance in contested environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the execution of the AF/A4C Strategic Implementation Plan (SIP) across infrastructure protection, installation resilience, infrastructure hardening, asset protection, and sensor modernization.
  • Coordinate across Headquarters Air Force, AFCEC, AFIMSC, MAJCOMs, Combatant Commands, and installation leadership to implement strategic resilience and mission assurance policies.
  • Develop and maintain Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms), strategic roadmaps, performance metrics, governance artifacts, executive dashboards, and decision-support materials.
  • Conduct program and readiness assessments, vulnerability evaluations, trend analyses, and business cases to inform enterprise-level investment, policy, and risk-management decisions.
  • Assist in the development of policy and guidance for installation cyber readiness, Industrial Control Systems (ICS) resilience, smart-building sensor technologies, and centralized facility monitoring.
  • Support force-development and workforce initiatives, including identifying training gaps, developing technical standards, and establishing operational guidance for critical infrastructure repair and recovery.
  • Research emerging technologies, industry best practices, and threat-informed design methodologies to drive continuous modernization across installation protection programs.
  • Facilitate working groups, governance boards, and strategic planning sessions, producing executive summaries, decision memos, white papers, and General Officer/Senior Executive Service (GO/SES) briefings.
Required Experience/Clearance
  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
  • 10+ years of professional experience supporting Air Force or Department of Defense (DoD) programs.
  • Policy & Strategy: Demonstrated experience analyzing legislative guidance, DoD policies, and organizational processes to develop actionable strategy, governance frameworks, and enterprise roadmaps.
  • Domain Expertise: Proven track record supporting installation resilience, infrastructure protection, critical asset protection, adaptive base defense, mission assurance, emergency management, or civil engineering programs.
  • Analytical Capabilities: Demonstrated ability to perform risk analyses, readiness evaluations, and capability assessments to support senior leadership decision-making.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated experience authoring executive-level documentation and briefing leadership.
Desired Experience

We encourage all candidates who meet the basic requirements to apply, even if you do not have all of the following experience:
  • Prior military or civilian service within the U.S. Air Force or Department of Defense (e.g., Civil Engineer, Security Forces, Cyber, or Operations communities).
  • Experience authoring concise, decision-ready executive products (e.g., talking points, decision memos, bullet background papers) specifically for GO/SES-level leadership.
  • Familiarity with Industrial Control Systems (ICS), Operational Technology (OT), or critical infrastructure cybersecurity frameworks and manual persistence concepts.
  • Exposure to smart-building systems, remote facility monitoring, sensor networks, or automated infrastructure management technologies.
  • Experience collaborating across HAF Civil Engineer directorates, AF/A5/7, AFCEC, AFIMSC, Joint Staff, OSD, or Combatant Command stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with process improvement, re-engineering methodologies, and modeling & simulation tools.
