About This Role

Orchestra is seeking a Freelance Technical Project Coordinator to support a high-priority website migration from Sitecore to Word Press.

Working closely with Orchestra project leads, client stakeholders, and an external web development agency, you'll help coordinate development workflows, QA, ticketing, stakeholder feedback, launch, and post-launch support.

You don't need to be a developer, but you should be technically fluent, comfortable working with developers and in Word Press, and able to translate technical discussions and feedback into clear, actionable tasks.

Location & Hours

This is a remote freelance engagement of approximately 20-30 hours per month, beginning immediately and expected to run through the end of 2026, with potential to extend.

Availability is required during agreed-upon business hours that overlap with East and West Coast teams, including attendance at key internal and external project meetings.

Accountabilities & Qualifications

As a Freelance Technical Project Coordinator, you will:

  • Partner with Orchestra project leads to support day-to-day coordination for a website migration, launch, and post-launch updates.
  • Serve as a coordination point between Orchestra stakeholders and the external web development team.
  • Participate in development meetings, scrums, and project check-ins, tracking decisions, dependencies, blockers, and next steps.
  • Translate stakeholder feedback and QA findings into clear, actionable tickets or tasks for developers and team.
  • Contribute to project plans, timelines, assignments, status updates, and documentation.
  • Support QA across staging and production, reviewing content, links, functionality, formatting, responsive behavior, and implementation details.
  • Clearly document bugs and implementation gaps with enough detail for development partners to troubleshoot.
  • Help coordinate website launch and post-launch needs, track project milestones and proactively flag timeline risks, unclear requirements, dependencies, and scope concerns.
  • Attend key recurring meetings as needed, particularly mid-week meetings with internal and external project teams.
Essential Skills
  • Approximately 2+ years of experience in project coordination, digital or technical project management, website production, or a similar role.
  • Experience supporting website builds, redesigns, migrations, or ongoing website development.
  • Working knowledge of Word Press and familiarity with CMS and web development workflows.
  • Experience with project management or collaboration tools such as Jira, Asana, Smartsheet, Slack, or similar platforms.
  • Experience working with developers and Agile, Scrum, sprint, or similar development processes.
  • Ability to understand technical conversations and turn them into clear tasks and follow-ups.
  • Strong attention to detail and experience QAing website implementation against designs, requirements, and approved content, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Excellent organization, communication, and time-management skills, including the ability to work independently in a remote, deadline-driven environment.
  • Proactive, resourceful, able to surface questions early, and ask for guidance when scope or ownership is unclear.
  • Prior agency experience or experience coordinating across multiple internal and external teams.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with Jira and familiarity with Sitecore or other CMS migrations.
  • Familiarity with SEO fundamentals, redirects, URL structures, and other migration considerations.
