Platform Engineer

• Administer and scale Jira, Confluence, Jira Service Management, and Crowd across multiple enclaves
• Design, configure, and optimize workflows, fields, screens, schemes, dashboards, reports, templates, and permissions
• Manage Atlassian Marketplace apps, including installation, configuration, upgrades, licensing, troubleshooting, and performance validation
• Oversee access and identity management using Crowd, Microsoft Entra , and SSO/SAML integrations
• Perform platform operations including upgrades, patches, deployments, backups, log management, and monitoring
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and logging to identify performance, stability, and capacity issues
• Partner with infrastructure and security teams on high availability, disaster recovery, and backup/restore strategies
• Triage and resolve support tickets and provide tier 2/3 support
• Develop knowledge articles, how-to guides, and training materials
• Engage mission teams to translate requirements into scalable tool configurations
• Support FISMA/ATO documentation, audits, and configuration baselines
• Enforce security controls, least privilege, data protection, and logging requirements
• Establish Atlassian standards, patterns, guardrails, and best practices
• Collaborate with Agile, Dev Sec Ops , and mission delivery teams to support Agile/SAFe processes
• Identify automation, workflow efficiency, and user-experience improvements
• Participate in roadmap planning, feature evaluation, capacity planning, and migration or modernization initiatives
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Minimum 5 years of experience supporting enterprise IT platforms or collaboration ecosystems
• Hands-on experience administering enterprise Jira, Confluence, and Crowd
• Experience with workflow and scheme design
• Experience with automation rules and configuration
• Experience with plugin/app installation, configuration, and lifecycle management
• Familiarity with Linux administration, such as RHEL or CentOS
• Familiarity with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL
• Familiarity with FISMA/ATO compliance processes and associated documentation
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to engage stakeholders and collaborate across technical, mission, and leadership teams
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under evolving mission needs
• Familiarity with Agile and/or SAFe delivery methodologies
• Ability and willingness to work onsite in Washington, DC, 5 days per week
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
• 5+ years of relevant professional experience
• Active Top Secret Security Clearance required
• Must be able to pass a background check
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Proficient in Microsoft and Adobe toolsets, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Acrobat
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage enterprise IT platforms effectively.
