Service Now CMDB Technical Architect (Mid-Level)
Location:
Washington, D.C. / Hybrid - supporting federal agency operations Make an Impact Where It Matters Most Blue Rose Consulting Group, Inc. (Blue Rose) is seeking a skilled Service Now CMDB Technical Architect to support a federal client in designing, optimizing, and governing enterprise Service Now environments. In this role, you will lead the architecture and implementation of CMDB and core Service Now modules, ensuring accurate configuration data, platform scalability, and secure integration across mission-critical systems.
You will work closely with stakeholders and technical teams to deliver high-impact solutions that strengthen IT operations and visibility across the enterprise. What You'll Do As a Service Now CMDB Technical Architect, you will:
* Lead the design, architecture, and governance of the Service Now CMDB
* Define and implement best practices for data modeling, discovery, and service mapping
* Architect and support Service Now ITSM and ITOM module implementations
* Ensure data integrity, normalization, and lifecycle management across configuration items
* Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business and operational requirements into scalable technical solutions
* Oversee integrations between Service Now and enterprise systems such as AWS, monitoring tools, and incident platforms
* Support platform optimization, automation, and performance improvements
* Provide technical leadership and guidance to development and engineering teams
* Ensure alignment with federal security, compliance, and Dev Sec Ops standards
* Maintain documentation for architecture, configurations, and operational processes Schedule & Shift Details
* Full-time (40 hours/week)
* Hybrid role with on-site support in Washington, D.C. as required Requirements
* U.S. Citizenship required
* Public Trust clearance required or higher Minimum of 5-8 years of experience with:
* Service Now platform development and architecture
* Service Now Configuration Management Database (CMDB) design and administration
* Service Now IT Service Management (ITSM)
* Service Now IT Operations Management (ITOM) Preferred experience includes:
* Cloud environments such as AWS
* Monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Splunk, Dynatrace)
* Identity and access management solutions (e.g., Okta)
* Incident and alerting platforms (e.g., Pager Duty)
* Database technologies such as PostgreSQL
* Exposure to AI/automation capabilities within enterprise platforms
* Strong understanding of system integrations, APIs, and data flows
* Experience working in Agile and Dev Sec Ops environments Why Join Blue Rose?
