Senior AWS Cloud Security Specialist

This is a 12-month contract position for a Senior AWS Cloud Security Specialist based in Washington, District of Columbia.

• Implement secure, scalable AWS cloud architectures following industry best practices and security frameworks
• Provide technical security consultation and advisory services to stakeholders
• Proactively identify potential security issues and engage with team members to ensure security objectives are met
• Resolve complex security challenges through analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting expertise
• Design and implement security solutions aligned with federal cybersecurity requirements

• Required
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on AWS security experience
  • AWS Certified Security certification
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect — Professional or Associate certification
  • Demonstrated federal experience and comprehensive knowledge of federal cybersecurity requirements, including the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, OMB Memorandum M-22-09, and NIST SP 800-53
  • Deep analytical and problem-solving skills to independently resolve complex security challenges
  • Strong understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM)
  • Strong understanding of security engineering
  • Strong understanding of network security design
  • Strong understanding of security operations
  • Strong understanding of security architecture
  • Strong understanding of cloud security
