Technical Project Manager (Deputy PM) - Secret Clearance

Location: Washington, DC (On-Site - 5 Days per Week)
Clearance Requirement: Active Secret Clearance
Salary Range: $140,000 - $155,000 (DOE)

The Opportunity

RCG is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager (Deputy PM) to support a federal government program in Washington, DC
. This is a full-time, on-site position requiring five (5) days per week at the customer's location.

The Deputy PM will assist in leading the planning, execution, and successful delivery of IT projects while working closely with government stakeholders, technical teams, and program leadership. This individual will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with contractual requirements.

What You'll Do
  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and managing multiple IT projects from initiation through completion.
  • Support project scheduling, resource planning, and budget management to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Monitor project performance, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate communication among project stakeholders to maintain alignment on project objectives and deliverables.
  • Track project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and overall progress.
  • Prepare project documentation, executive reports, presentations, and status updates for leadership and customers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams to ensure projects meet customer expectations and contractual requirements.
What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications
  • Active Secret Clearance (Required)
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of project management experience.
  • Experience leading and managing IT projects from initiation through completion.
  • Service Now experience with report configuration and generation
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, processes, and tools.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and team coordination skills.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
  • Full-time position
  • On-site in Washington, DC - Five (5) days per week
  • Collaborative, mission-focused federal government environment
  • Occasional interaction with executive leadership and government stakeholders
