Information Technology Specialist (Applications)
As an Information Technology Specialist (Applications), GS-2210-14, you will serve as an Applications Specialist responsible for supporting, developing, modernizing, and securing enterprise business applications that support the Civil Division's litigation and administrative operations. The incumbent provides technical expertise as a member of the Applications Services team in application development, systems integration, cybersecurity, and enterprise application support.
Specific duties include:
- Coordinates and serves as technical lead in support of efforts across multiple DOJ components and Federal agencies to implement enterprise architecture modernization and bring online digital and AI capabilities that support the Division objectives.
- Serves as the appointed and formally designated System Owner for systems within the incumbent's assigned portfolio and is accountable for their technical operation, security configuration and accreditation compliance for public facing digital services.
- Integrates cybersecurity requirements throughout the planning, development, implementation, operation, and maintenance of enterprise applications.
- Provides technical direction and guidance to supporting contractor staff within the scope of assigned technical responsibilities.
- Identifies, evaluates, and recommends commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and cloud-based solutions to support mission requirements.
- Defines technical business requirements, operational needs, digital capabilities to select and implement enterprise business solutions and related business processes.
- Develops and leads the execution project plans, schedules, milestones, risk logs, status reports and responsible for resolving assigned technical issues as a technical expert within the Applications team.
