RIVA Solutions is seeking a Privacy Compliance Lead to serve as the subject matter expert for privacy compliance requirements within the ITA OCIO CRD. This role will provide expert-level support for Privacy Act of 1974 and FOIA processes, manage privacy-related correspondence, and liaise with the Department Chief Privacy Office. The Privacy Compliance Lead ensures that privacy requirements are met and documented, supports reporting activities, and manages sensitive requests with accuracy and professionalism.
CoreResponsibilities
- Serve as liaison to the Department Chief Privacy Office and provide privacy expertise to FISMA compliance teams.
- Act as subject matter expert on Privacy Act of 1974 requirements and guidance.
- Oversee the flow of classified and unclassified FOIA/PA correspondence and ensure adherence to federal privacy policies.
- Support the development of reports and analyses associated with FOIA and Privacy Act compliance.
- Provide and assist requesters with necessary FOIA/PA forms and status updates.
- Ensure accurate and prompt processing of FOIA/PA requests in compliance with relevant laws and guidelines.
- Monitor case statuses, track metrics, and ensure all documentation is proofread and error-free.
- Ensure consistent compliance with FOIA and Privacy Act policies, procedures, and timelines.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience working with Privacy Act compliance or FOIA/PA processing.
- Strong understanding of federal privacy frameworks and policies.
- Proven communication and analytical skills for briefing senior leadership.
- U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance (Secret preferred).
- Project Management or Agile experience.
- IAPP Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM), Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification.
- Experience supporting Department of Commerce or other federal agencies with privacy compliance programs.
The salary or salary range for this role reflects an estimated range informed by multiple compensation factors. Final offers may vary based on considerations such as relevant experience, education and training, critical skillsets, and overall business needs.
Pay range$135,000 - $150,000 USD
