Position OverviewWe are seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to provide technical and engineering support across the full system lifecycle. This role supports the design, integration, deployment, sustainment, and modernization of complex IT systems and services in a mission-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities- Administer and support Windows Server and/or Linux enterprise environments
- Manage VMware or similar virtualization platforms
- Maintain Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy (GPO)
- Support network operations center (NOC) activities and incident response
- Perform system monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning
- Execute patching, upgrades, and system lifecycle management
- Implement and maintain STIG / DISA security compliance controls
- Use tools such as:
- SCCM / PDQ for software deployment
- Splunk / Solar Winds for monitoring
- Ansible / Power Shell / Bash for automation
- Conduct backup, recovery, and disaster recovery operations
- Document system changes and follow strict change management processes
- Support 24x7 high-availability environments with escalation duties
- 8+ years of systems administration experience (enterprise scale)
- Experience with:
- Windows Server administration
- Linux (RHEL/CentOS commonly preferred)
- VMware or similar virtualization platforms
- Active Directory, DNS, DHCP
- Strong understanding of enterprise networking concepts
- Experience with automation scripting (Power Shell, Bash)
- Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST 800-53, STIGs, RMF)
- Ability to work in classified / federal environment)
- Demonstrate understanding of Red Hat Linux, Trusted Linux, Windows 10, VMware
