We are seeking an experienced Database Developer to join an Agile/Scrum team supporting a telecommunications-focused, web-based Operational Support System (OSS) application. The role involves developing, maintaining, and enhancing Oracle databases, with a primary focus on migrating Oracle 11g to Oracle 19c while ensuring uninterrupted application functionality.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, maintain, and optimize Oracle databases supporting the OSS application.
- Lead and support Oracle 11g to 19c database migration.
- Design complex database models, stored procedures, triggers, PL/SQL, and SQL queries.
- Create and maintain Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERDs) and database documentation.
- Integrate Oracle databases with Microsoft SQL Server data sources.
- Support GIS-enabled applications using ESRI ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Pro, and SDE.
- Perform database upgrades, monitoring, troubleshooting, maintenance, and performance tuning.
- Collaborate with Agile team members to deliver high-quality database solutions.
- Ensure compliance with project standards, documentation, and lifecycle processes.
- Provide technical guidance, user support, and training when required.
- Strong experience with Oracle Database (11g & 19c).
- Advanced SQL and PL/SQL development.
- Experience with stored procedures, triggers, functions, packages, and transaction processing.
- Database modeling and ERD design.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server integration.
- Knowledge of ESRI GIS technologies (ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Pro, SDE).
- Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning, and database administration skills.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
