Job Title

Web Services Software QA Engineer, Level 3.

General Responsibilities
  • Work effectively and collaboratively with Web Systems colleagues on assigned projects and activities.
  • Follow the Web Systems Agile SCRUM Methodology, other frameworks, governance processes, and best practices.
  • Maintain professional relationships with customers, management, colleagues and deliver high-quality customer service.
Specific Responsibilities
  • Perform manual and automated testing on Drupal 10.x and 11.x environments.
  • Ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsive design adherence.
  • Validate content accuracy and functionality across different user roles.
  • Conduct regression testing after updates, patches, and deployments.
  • Ensure compliance with accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG 2.1 Level AA, Section 508).
  • Assess and analyze areas of concern for accessibility non-compliance and resolve specific accessibility defects.
  • Collaborate with developers, designers, and stakeholders for issue resolution.
  • Create and maintain detailed test plans and test cases tailored for complex Drupal sites.
  • Enhance QA processes through recommendations and best practices.
  • Support migration testing from Drupal 10 to 11 to ensure data integrity and functional parity post-migration.
  • Test complex workflows, integrations, and third-party modules to ensure stability and compliance with functional requirements.
  • Participate in requirements, design/development reviews, and product planning sessions to proactively validate usability and testability.
  • Test complex Drupal workflows and permissions.
  • Validate module interactions and dependencies.
  • Test content types and taxonomies.
  • Verify media handling and file management.
  • Test search functionality and content indexing.
  • Validate form submissions and data processing.
  • Conduct thorough regression testing after updates and deployments.
  • Test content migration processes between Drupal versions.
  • Validate theme implementations and responsive design.
  • Test multi-site configurations and shared functionality.
  • Ensure familiarity with Drupal features, modules, and overall site structure to effectively test functionality and integrations.
  • Create and maintain detailed test plans and test cases tailored for complex Drupal sites, ensuring appropriate format and level of detail.
  • Other project management and contract-related functions as needed.
Specific Qualification
  • Bachelor’s degree in an Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS, or related discipline, or equivalent related experience.
  • 10 years in field of Information Technology and software Quality Assurance with a minimum of 4 years of experience testing Drupal-based websites.
  • Expertise in functional, regression, usability, and performance testing methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of accessibility (Section 508 and WCAG 2.1/2.2) compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency with testing tools, including browser developer tools and automation frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Selenium Web Driver 4.x).
  • Knowledge of accessibility testing guidelines and relevant tools, including screen reader software (JAWS, NVDA, Talkback, Voiceover) and other relevant accessibility testing tools.
  • Experience with bug tracking and test management tools such as Click Up or Jira.
  • Ability to develop skills and quickly adapt to new technologies and priorities.
  • Familiarity with HTML5, CSS, JavaScript and accessibility features.
  • Experience testing complex integrations, third-party APIs, and custom Drupal modules.
  • Familiarity with Drupal features, modules, and site structure to effectively perform targeted testing.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Drupal content management testing, including experience with content types, taxonomies, and workflows.
  • Experience with Drupal module and theme testing, including understanding module dependencies and theme inheritance.
