Meta Phase supports secure Federal mission environments that depend on resilient cyber capabilities, digital forensic tooling, and rapid incident response. The work combines software engineering, systems automation, data processing, Dev Sec Ops , and cybersecurity to help tactical security teams investigate threats and sustain critical operations.
Meta Phase is seeking a Cyber Capability Developer with at least 8 years of relevant experience to design, build, test, secure, and sustain specialized cyber capabilities. This developer will serve as a technical authority for digital forensic tooling, secure data-ingest pipelines, custom data-processing utilities, and automated delivery practices that accelerate incident triage and threat analysis.
What You Will Be Doing- Design, provision, and maintain high-availability, multi-platform digital forensic tooling that supports security incident response and threat analysis.
- Translate complex analytical and operational requirements into secure, functional software utilities that perform reliably within constrained mission environments.
- Develop secure data-ingest pipelines, data-processing utilities, and automation that accelerate incident triage while protecting data integrity and operational evidence.
- Engineer tooling that interoperates across commercial, GOTS, and custom-developed applications in mixed-vendor technical environments.
- Implement security hardening, secure coding practices, automated testing, logging, and quality checks that support resilient cyber operations.
- Establish centralized version control and CI/CD pipelines that automate capability builds, testing, deployment, patching, configuration updates, and rollback procedures.
- Document tool designs, operating procedures, test evidence, and user materials; support training and incorporate operational feedback into capability improvements.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in cyber capability development, software engineering, digital forensics, systems automation, or a closely related technical discipline.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, software engineering, information systems, engineering, or a related field.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance with SCI access. U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Advanced proficiency in modern industry-standard languages such as C/C++, Python, Java, C#, Go, Rust, or comparable technologies, including development that interfaces with user- and kernel-level components.
- Hands-on experience with software design, debugging, unit and integration testing, centralized source control, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployment or configuration-management technologies.
- Experience applying secure coding practices, forensic data handling, vulnerability remediation, security configuration controls, and automated quality checks within a structured software development lifecycle.
