Job Overview
Harbor IT is looking for an expert-level Connect Wise Administrator to join our Managed Service Provider (MSP) team. This trusted resource will be responsible for managing, debugging, and improving our Connect Wise instance to ensure seamless operations. In addition to Connect Wise administration, the ideal candidate will have IT/infrastructure competence to support internal administration and management tasks when Connect Wise demand is low.
Role& responsibilities
- Connect Wise Administration
- Configure, maintain, and optimize the Connect Wise platform.
- Manage user accounts, security permissions, and system settings.
- Ensure system stability, performance, and compliance with MSP workflows.
- Troubleshooting & Debugging
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues within Connect Wise.
- Act as the escalation point for complex system problems.
- Maintain high availability and minimize downtime.
- Process Improvement & Automation
- Analyse workflows and implement automation to streamline MSP operations.
- Develop templates, scripts, and integrations to improve efficiency.
- Continuously identify opportunities for system enhancements.
- Integration Management
- Oversee integrations between Connect Wise and other MSP tools (RMM, PSA, billing, ticketing, etc.).
- Ensure smooth data flow and interoperability across platforms.
- Data Integrity & Security
- Monitor data accuracy, backups, and compliance with industry standards.
- Implement and enforce security best practices.
- Documentation & Training
- Create and maintain documentation for system configurations and workflows.
- Provide training and support to internal teams on Connect Wise usage.
- Secondary IT/Infrastructure Support
- Assist with internal IT administration tasks (user management, networking, cloud services, etc.) when Connect Wise workload is low.
- Provide flexible support for broader MSP operational needs.
Bachelors degree in information technology, Computer Science or related field (preferred).
- Proven expertise as a Connect Wise Administrator with hands‑on experience in system management, debugging
- Strong knowledge of MSP operations and workflows.
- Competence in IT infrastructure administration (Windows, networking, cloud services).
- Minimum 35 years of experience in IT systems administration, with at least 2 years focused on Connect Wise.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
