Associate Business Development Manager

• Support CNN’s Commerce team by growing affiliate revenue through content and linking optimizations, new affiliate solutions, and oversight of key merchant relationships
• Grow affiliate revenue for CNN Underscored’s 2,000+ existing merchant partners and expand affiliate presence through new verticals and unique partnership opportunities
• Collaborate with Business and Editorial team members to identify new monetization opportunities and operationalize relevant strategies
• Analyze performance for continued growth through Organic and Paid channels
• Work with Product, Engineering, and Revenue Insights on new features and incremental earnings opportunities
• Oversee a portfolio of priority merchants to nurture and grow affiliate earnings through performance incentives, commission negotiations, and strategic initiatives
• Implement high-yield partner links and optimize content to increase click-through and conversion rates
• Oversee network migrations to mitigate revenue loss
• Analyze merchant- & article-level performance to identify alternative monetization tactics
• Work with Business Development, Editorial, Product, and Analytics stakeholders to develop business and product solutions that increase user engagement and revenue
• Assist in sourcing, identifying, and developing new revenue opportunities through Sponsor ships, Paid Media, and other digitally driven concepts

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, data science, or related field
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in digital marketing, analytics, or related field
• Experience working with internal and external stakeholders to develop new concepts, strategies, and processes that drive revenue growth
• Fundamental understanding of affiliate revenue KPIs such as earnings-per-click, cost-per-action, revenue-per-impression, click-through rate, and conversion rate
• Affiliate marketing experience and familiarity with affiliate network reporting platforms is preferred
• Organized with strong analytical skills
• Ability to problem solve
• Ability to effectively communicate informative findings to others

Demonstrates expertise in affiliate marketing strategies, revenue growth optimization, and performance analysis. Proficient in collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop innovative monetization solutions and enhance user engagement.
