Build, implement, and troubleshoot information systems within the Microsoft technology stack, including Microsoft Azure cloud technologies. Monitor and respond to system problems, provide technical support on existing and emerging technologies, and plan and execute technology projects, tasks, and initiatives. Research and report on new technologies and their potential value to the organization.
This position requires full-time on-site support.
ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include but are not limited to:
Azure and Active Directory Management- Managing user accounts, group policies, permissions, and access controls within Active Directory and Office 365
- Maintenance and ongoing development of automation and continuous build/integration/deployment infrastructure for multiple environments; write, build and deploy scripts using Power Shell and other utilities to improve efficiency
- Monitoring network performance, troubleshooting connectivity issues, familiar with network protocols, firewalls, and network infrastructure
- Managing network security
- Installing, updating, and patching applications across EEOC’s network
- Implementing security policies, monitoring security threats, and managing system hardening procedures
- Providing technical support to end-users including troubleshooting hardware and software issues, setting up user accounts, and resolving connectivity problems
- Provide technical support to end-users Microsoft applications and systems and diagnosing and resolving technical issues related to Microsoft products and systems
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Requires a bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, information systems, or a related field and six years of IT experience or no degree and a minimum of ten years of relevant IT experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including Active Directory, Entra , Intune, SCCM, Windows 10/11, Manage Engine Endpoint Central, Microsoft 365, and Teams.
- Demonstrated experience automating administrative tasks and workflows using Power Shell and similar scripting/automation tools.
- Demonstrated systems administration experience in Windows physical, virtual, and Azure cloud environments.
- Working knowledge of CIS Benchmarks and Windows security hardening practices.
- Extensive experience supporting a Microsoft Windows Server and SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) enterprise environment.
- ITSM ticketing system experience required, Zendesk experience is preferred.
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and electronically.
- Must have a positive and patient customer service attitude.
- Must be able to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Must obtain an agency public trust suitability determination prior to start date.
- Experience supporting a mid-sized Federal agency enterprise is a plus.
- ITIL v3 (or later) certification is desired.
- Relevant Microsoft certifications are strongly desired.
