SOC Analyst

Job Summary:

The SOC Analyst I (Tier I) is a critical member of the National Security Operations Center (NSOC) team responsible for 24/7 monitoring and protection of mission-essential communication sites and information systems. This role involves detecting, triaging, and escalating security events to ensure continuous operational readiness and security posture.

• Support a 24/7 shift schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Provide proactive, on-site monitoring and response for mission-critical communication sites and information systems.
• Classify, prioritize, and

  * * alerts promptly to ensure timely resolution.
• Follow established procedures for data collection, triage, analysis, classification, and escalation to meet performance targets.
• Capture, log, respond to, and
  ** escalate
  * * events from email, chat, voice, and other systems with accurate documentation.
• Collect and analyze technical data to classify events and distinguish valid issues from false positives, maintaining triage accuracy standards.
• Collaborate with team members to develop and refine playbooks, dashboards, metrics, and detection strategies.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of incidents and recommended response actions.
• Support network and security incident response as directed.

• 1 3 years of experience working in a Security Operations Center.

• Must be willing to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays as part of a rotating 24/7 schedule.
• Onsite work required at Dauphin County location.

• Full-time, onsite role supporting a rotating 24/7 shift schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
