Job Summary:The Windows Administrator is responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, and supporting all Windows-based systems within the organization. This role ensures high availability, optimal performance, and security of Windows servers, Active Directory, and related infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:- Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server operating systems (2016/2019/2022).
- Manage and support Active Directory
, DNS
, DHCP
, and Group Policies
. - Perform system monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
- Manage user accounts
, permissions
, and access control
. - Apply OS patches, updates, and system upgrades regularly.
- Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery procedures.
- Monitor system logs and identify potential issues.
- Ensure system security through proper configurations and access policies.
- Provide technical support to users and coordinate with other IT teams.
- Maintain documentation related to systems, configurations, and procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology
, Computer Science
, or related field. - 2–5 years of experience as a Windows System Administrator or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server administration and networking fundamentals.
- Experience with Active Directory
, Power Shell scripting
, and virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V). - Understanding of backup solutions
, security policies
, and monitoring tools
. - Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Microsoft certifications (e.g.,
MCSA
, MCSE
) are a plus.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Detail-oriented and proactive in problem-solving.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
