Overview
LMI seeks a Lead Platform Integrator to support a Department of War mission partner by leading integration of autonomous systems into approved network, cloud, on-premises, and tactical edge compute environments. The integrator coordinates platform architecture, software onboarding, application interfaces, data services, Dev Sec Ops , cybersecurity, testing, configuration management, and authorization activities. The ideal candidate combines enterprise platform expertise with the practical systems integration skills required to deliver mission capability across connected and disconnected environments.

This position requires on-site support in the National Capital Region and an active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance. The position requires periodic travel to supported commands, operational units, exercises, test events, and industry locations.
Responsibilities- Lead integration of autonomous platforms, mission applications, data services, command and control, and supporting tools into approved enterprise and tactical compute environments.
- Develop platform architectures and integration roadmaps spanning cloud, on-premises, edge, disconnected, and air-gapped deployment patterns.
- Coordinate software onboarding, containerization, interfaces, application programming interfaces, data flows, identity, access, observability, and configuration requirements.
- Align platform integration with Dev Sec Ops pipelines, software supply-chain controls, cybersecurity baselines, Risk Management Framework activities, and Authority to Operate requirements.
- Establish integration standards, interface control documents, configuration baselines, release criteria, test plans, deployment procedures, and sustainment documentation.
- Plan and lead laboratory, range, exercise, and operational integration events involving government, commercial, and partner-developed capabilities.
- Troubleshoot platform, application, data, identity, networking, performance, and deployment issues across complex multi-vendor environments.
- Coordinate with network engineers, cybersecurity personnel, software teams, data engineers, operators, acquisition personnel, and vendor partners.
- Assess third-party capabilities for technical compatibility, security, deployability, supportability, and operational relevance.
- Maintain integrated schedules, action trackers, risks, dependencies, architecture decisions, and readiness status.
- Brief senior leaders on platform architecture, integration progress, cybersecurity posture, technical risk, and recommended decisions.
- Mentor technical personnel and promote disciplined, repeatable integration practices across the team.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, cybersecurity, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
- Eight or more years of experience in platform engineering, systems integration, cloud engineering, Dev Sec Ops , software delivery, enterprise architecture, or a closely related field.
- Active TS/SCI clearance.
- Experience leading integration of complex software, data, network, and compute capabilities in Department of Defense or national security environments.
- Working knowledge of cloud platforms, containers, Kubernetes, continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines, infrastructure as code, application programming interfaces, and observability.
- Experience integrating applications and data services across enterprise, edge, disconnected, or air-gapped environments.
- Knowledge of Risk Management Framework, Authority to Operate, security controls, software supply-chain risk, vulnerability management, and configuration management.
