Desktop Support Specialist
Onsite desktop support for a trading floor. First point of contact for traders and other VIP users. Resolve most desktop, device, app, print and network issues without escalation. Downtime has direct business impact, so fixes must be fast and accurate.
Must be able to work on site in Washington, DC - no remote work ( if non local must be able to relocate on your own ).
Applicants must be U.S. citizens, Green Card holders or current H-1B visa holders willing to transfer their visas ( H-1B visa transfer ).
W2 salaried role with full benefits - no contractors, no 3rd parties.
Duties- Trading floor operations support
- Support Windows desktops and laptops, Bloomberg, Intex or similar market apps , Microsoft 365 and Office apps.
- Troubleshoot PC hardware, printers, peripherals, and browsers.
- Troubleshoot end user network issues and Zscaler client problems.
- Manage devices with SCCM, Intune or similar tools.
- Escalate to network, infrastructure and app teams when needed.
- Cover alternate shifts and planned or urgent weekend work.
- Actual experience with trading floor operations support ( IT Helpdesk, Desktop Support Technician, IT Technician, etc ), Bloomberg, Intex or similar market apps
- SCCM, Intune or similar, Zscaler, Service Now, Jira
- Onsite work with shift and weekend coverage as needed.
