Responsibilities

We are seeking a Project Engineer to join our U.S./UK Joint Program team in Washington, DC and coordinate with our U.S./UK Joint Program team in Colorado Springs.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to provide direct support to our U.S. Navy customer at the Washington Navy Yard. The role involves daily engagement with the Navy by delivering proactive technical and programmatic support. The selected candidate will serve as the Arcfield Navy Liaison for coordination between the Navy and the U.S./UK Joint Program team in Colorado Springs. Key responsibilities include coordinating and facilitating U.S./UK Joint Program technical meetings and developing comprehensive written technical summaries for each session;

managing the atomic reporting for compliance with Joint Atomic Information Exchange Group (JAIEG) and the Polaris Sales Agreement (PSA) export control requirements; assisting the customer in monitoring and verifying electronic file transmissions via designated information-sharing channels between U.S. Government personnel and the UK Government; and managing a small team to ensure effective collaboration and successful delivery of contract requirements.

The ideal candidate should be able to effectively:

  • Possess a strong technical background with the ability to effectively conceptualize and communicate complex technical topics and materials.
  • Collaborate closely with the Colorado-based Arcfield U.S./UK team, demonstrating proficiency in written and verbal communication, including email, phone, and in-person meetings.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for meeting management and logistics between U.S. and UK government entities and their respective contractors for designated meeting forums.
  • Demonstrate exceptional technical writing skills, with the ability to draft, edit, and refine reports, summaries, presentations, and other technical documentation.
  • Coordinate and lead technical program meetings on a regular basis.
  • Exhibit a solid understanding of technical terminology and systems engineering concepts.
  • Manage and ensure compliance with transmissibility reporting requirements for all atomic information exchanges with the UK government.
  • Monitor, track, and support electronic file transmissions for meetings, briefings, and collaborative efforts.
  • Provide direct and personalized support to the U.S. Navy customer, including:
    • Real-time, daily communication between the customer and Arcfield personnel.
    • Conducting classification reviews of both unclassified and classified documents to ensure there are no classification anomalies.
    • Tracking and ensuring resolution of customer-assigned action items,
    • Compiling and organizing technical details from all relevant U.S. organizations into draft presentations for the customer.
    • Assisting with meeting preparation by drafting agendas, verifying attendance, overseeing action item status, and navigating security and facility logistics for each meeting location.
    • Preparing periodic reports to document progress on UK-designated requirements tracing in DOORS.
    • Supporting any additional UK program tasking as requested by the customer.
  • Develop and deliver technical reports and other associated documentation as stipulated by contract requirements.
  • Update and maintain records in the DOORS system to reflect changes in requirements, ensuring that UK-interest tags are applied to relevant requirements, and generating periodic reports.
  • Perform additional duties as needed to support UK program customer objectives and requirements.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to travel domestically and internationally in support of customer meeting and program requirements.
Qualifications

Required Experience:

  • Have a BS or BA in a technical (Science or Engineering) field of study and 5+ years of experience
  • Possess a DoD Top Secret clearance or DOE Q clearance
  • Demonstrated experience managing a team
  • Demonstrated experience with organization, logistics, and meeting management
  • Demonstrated experience and willingness to be a technical writer and editor when producing content
  • Have a proactive and organized personality with the ability to multitask
  • Able to work face-to-face with customer in an office setting
  • Able to independently prepare presentations and meeting materials for the customer
  • Able to work closely and clearly communicate with the customer, other organizations on the UK program team, and Arcfield team across multiple office locations
