A cloud and platform engineer who builds the reusable infrastructure, automation, and engineering foundations that product teams rely on. You enjoy making environments secure, repeatable, observable, reliable, and easier for developers to use. You may be developing your cloud/Dev Ops foundation or already be ready to independently own platform components, pipelines, environments, or reliability work streams. As your experience grows, you may lead platform designs, define infrastructure and Dev Sec Ops  patterns, mentor engineers, shape reliability strategy, and influence cloud architecture and platform standards across teams or programs.

Design, build, automate, and operate cloud infrastructure and platform capabilities across AWS, Azure, or comparable environments. Create and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform, Cloud Formation, Bicep, or comparable technologies. Build and improve CI/CD pipelines, developer workflows, deployment automation, environment provisioning, and release controls. Deploy and operate containerized workloads using Docker, Kubernetes, managed container platforms, or comparable technologies. Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, observability, resilience, backup/recovery, and reliability practices for cloud platforms and applications.

Apply Dev Sec Ops , identity/access, secrets management, network, configuration, patching, and security controls throughout platform engineering. Automate repetitive operational work using scripting and engineering tools and support incident troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis. Use AFS‑approved AI‑assisted engineering tools and workflows to accelerate automation, troubleshooting, documentation, code development, and platform analysis while validating outputs. Partner with product engineers, Quality Engineers, Enterprise Architects, security teams, delivery leaders, and client stakeholders.

As your experience grows, lead complex platform initiatives, establish reusable patterns and standards, mentor engineers, and shape cloud/platform architecture and reliability practices.

Professional experience in cloud engineering, Dev Ops, platform engineering, infrastructure engineering, SRE, or comparable work, or equivalent practical experience. Hands‑on experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, or another major cloud platform. Experience with infrastructure as code such as Terraform, Cloud Formation, Bicep, or a comparable technology. Experience with CI/CD, Git‑based workflows, scripting/automation, and modern software delivery practices. Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, container platforms, or comparable workload orchestration technologies.
