IT Trainer

Our client is a large nonprofit organization recognized globally for advancing the hard sciences and publishing leading scientific journals. The IT Application Trainer will develop and deliver training programs for various IT applications used within the organization to enhance staff productivity and operational efficiency. This is a full-time contract position, paying $40 to $43 per hour. This is a hybrid position based in Washington, DC.

• Collaborate with the IT department and stakeholders to identify training needs and develop comprehensive curricula for IT applications.
• Design and produce training materials such as manuals, presentations, and e-learning modules.
• Conduct engaging training sessions both in-person and virtually to improve users’ technical proficiency.
• Customize training content for different learning styles and provide hands-on demonstrations.
• Offer ongoing support and troubleshooting assistance to trainees as needed.
• Implement evaluation methods to assess training effectiveness and gather participant feedback for continuous improvement.
• Maintain records of training sessions, attendance, and feedback, and prepare activity reports for management.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest developments in relevant IT applications and pursue ongoing professional development.

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
• Proven experience in IT training or education within a corporate setting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and similar enterprise applications.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to adapt training content for different audiences and proficiency levels.

• Experience with instructional design principles and learning management systems (LMS).
• Certifications in relevant IT or training fields.
• Prior experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
