System Engineer

We support the US Federal Government and international clients in areas such as Identity and Access Management (ICAM/IAM), Cloud Solutions, Cybersecurity, and Software Development. We are looking for a candidate with at least 5-7 years of technical experience, including demonstrated leadership of teams involved in integrating complex systems and software packages. The ideal candidate should have a strong ability to assess system architecture, identify hardware limitations, and design complex system specifications. The ability to be hands-on when needed to help manage and troubleshoot environmental issues.

Has an understanding of Federal security policies (such NIST 800-53r5 and can document and support ATO and other Federal Compliance Requirement. The candidate should be proficient in the creation and updating of System Security Plans, Design Documents, and solution documentation. The role requires the ability to independently conduct technical investigations, resolve complex support issues, coordinate operations and monitoring, while providing guidance to junior team members.

The candidate should have a practical understanding of Microsoft Technologies such as Active Directory, .Net Applications deployment and management, and SQL Server. They should understand Hypervisor technologies (Hyper-V, VMWare, Prox Mox, etc) and how to manage and deploy infrastructure components. The role requires a basic understanding of networking, high-level networking device management (Firewall / Router/Managed Switches) and some experience using troubleshooting tools.

The ideal candidate can think independently, apply rigor to troubleshooting and management processes. The candidate should have a grasp on a scripting language such as Power Shell, Bash, Python, etc. Extended / Nice to have skills include Infrastructure as Code, containerization, or ICAM/PKI Knowledge. The candidate should also be familiar with Cloud computing concepts; experience is a plus.

Act as the technical lead supporting multiple environments and as an escalation point for technical issues. This resource may also field support tickets related to Zeva’s products or hosted environments. Enhance end-to-end system life cycle processes including support, maintenance, administration, management, and problem resolution of deficiencies discovered. Provide work leadership for lower-level employees. Day-to-day activities will be dynamics depending on critically and will include both proactive and reactive assignments.

Cloud Architect, Networking, Linux Distros and the Microsoft technology stack. Active Directory Management, EntraID / AWS IAM or other directory services, Continuous Monitoring tool, Vulnerability scan and SIEM solutions, Virtualization, Scripting language, Agile Methodologies, Infrastructure as code, and Security.
