Technical Writer, Data Engineering
We are hiring a freelance technical writer (B2B) at
We are looking for a freelance writer for a client in the data-orchestration space. You'll write buyer-intent content that data engineers actually trust:
- Product-vs-competitor comparisons
- Alternatives pages
- Category listicles
- Migration and switching guides
You should know the modern data stack:
- Orchestration:
Airflow, Dagster, Prefect, Temporal, DAGs - Transformation: dbt-core vs dbt Cloud, SQL, CI/CD for data
- ELT and warehouses:
Fivetran, Airbyte, Snowflake, Databricks, Big Query - Python and cloud-native, enough to read the docs and write an accurate, opinionated comparison
Target audience are Heads of Data and Data Engineering Managers. There is no room for fluff. Developers smell it from a mile away, so this can't be another lightly-edited AI output.
Note: freelance and remote, either a monthly retainer or pay per article, 8 pieces a month.
To apply, write to [click apply] with the subject "Technical Writer for Dev" and include your availability, rate, and your latest technical writing samples (data, dev tools or infra). Applications missing any of these won't be considered.
