We are seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to support the Marine Corps Oracle EBS R12 system that provides functions including asset visibility, supply, maintenance, readiness, task organization, repairs, request tracking, and financial information.
Responsibilities:- Cyber developer will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of Technical Cyber controls.
- Support all technical activities and follow the processes outlined in compliance with approved Agile approach including researching and configuring cyber controls.
- Review technical design documentation and vendor documentation and to understand and gain knowledge about the cyber functions provided.
- Interact with government product owners and other SMEs to analyze requirements and provide solutions.
- Review Change Requests and aid in gathering requirements and identifying solutions.
- Tune and optimize related code and related systems level configurations.
- Provide technical support during the release testing phases.
- Provide detailed deployment instructions for successful migration/backout of code.
- Prepare design alternatives and design specification documents.
- Drive meetings with product owners and manage the analysis through design and development phases.
- As required, provide updates to related deliverables.
- Produce all work products and deliverables with quality and on schedule including testing plans.
Required:
- Experience in Cyber Security controls and remediation.
- Experience working in Oracle Linux environment and shell scripting.
- Ability to harden Oracle products including applications, technology stack, database, OS, and tools per DoD requirements.
- Proficiency in secure coding practices and code review methodologies.
- Work with vendors, specifically Oracle, on service requests as required.
- Ability to develop professional documentation and other written materials.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to adapt to changing business processes, technologies, and environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in Cyber Security for Oracle platforms.
- Familiarity with NIST SP 800-53, DISA STIG, FIPS 140-2 and related guidelines.
- CompTIA Security + certification.
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Eligible to pass a T3 Background Investigation.
Desired:
- Experience in Marine Corps/DoD Cybersecurity processes.
- Experience in Agile methodology.
- Experience in applying STIGs and cyber controls to Oracle applications including Oracle EBS R12.2.x, and Oracle Fusion Middleware 12c or higher.
