Cloud Operations Engineer Job Washington area,District of Columbia USA,IT/Tech

Imagineeer is seeking a Cloud Operations Engineer to operate a contractor-provided cloud sandbox used to integration-test commercial acquisition tools for a federal civilian department. You will keep the environment running, provision tool integrations and mock system-of-record interfaces, and generate the synthetic data the pilot runs on.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate and maintain the sandbox environment day to day.
Provision tool integrations and mock interfaces for the AMS/PRISM contract writing environment, FPDS-NG, and SAM.gov.
Generate and manage synthetic and de-identified test data.
Support configuration of pilot and production tools and keep infrastructure-as-code current.
Support hosting assessments of candidate tools.
Work with The contractor-provided sandbox in a FedRAMP-authorized cloud region, with mock AMS/PRISM, FPDS-NG, and SAM.gov interfaces and synthetic data
Infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD tooling
API mocking and synthetic data generation tools

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
5 or more years of cloud engineering or Dev Ops experience.
Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines, and scripting (e.g., Python, Bash, Power Shell).
Experience building or consuming REST APIs and creating mock services.
Experience operating environments under security baselines such as NIST SP 800-53.

Desired Skills and

Competencies:

AWS or Azure associate-level certification or higher.
Experience generating synthetic data sets for testing.
Experience in FedRAMP-authorized or government cloud regions.
