*** Network Communications Engineer
** Apex Systems is immediately hiring for a Network Communications Engineer with a large government client supporting the Navy & Marine Corps at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, DC!

Position requires a currently active, DoD-issued Secret Security Clearance.

*** Location**: 100% on-site at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, DC

* Schedule:

** M-F, Core Business Hours (8-hour shifts)
** Pay**: $46.75 - $49.75/hour (depending upon experience)
Will receive accrual of Paid Federal Sick Leave + Paid Federal Holidays.

* Contract:

** Long-term rolling
** Overview:
*** Evaluate communication hardware and software, as well as troubleshoot Local Area Networks/Base Area Networks/Wide Area Networks (LAN/BAN/WAN), and other network related problems.
* Administer LAN/BAN/WANs.
* Schedule conversions and cutovers.
* Coordinate with all responsible users and sites.
* Specialized experience in the performance and configuration of networks as well as the integration and testing of complex large-scale computer integrated networks.
** Requirements:
*** Active, DoD-issued Secret security clearance
* CompTIA Security+ CE Certification
* Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) OR ability to obtain within the first 6 months of employment
