A prestigious AmLaw firm with a Washington, DC office is seeking an experienced Tax Attorney to join its Real Estate and Affordable Housing Practice Group
. This is an excellent opportunity to work on sophisticated, mission-driven transactions within a nationally recognized affordable housing platform.
- 5+ years of tax law experience at a law firm
- Demonstrated experience with partnership tax matters
- Experience advising exempt organizations and nonprofit entities
, including work involving public-private partnerships in housing and urban renewal projects - Exposure to Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC/Section 42) required; experience with Historic Tax Credits and New Markets Tax Credits is a plus
- Strong academic credentials
- An LL.M. in Taxation is preferred
- A degree in accounting or finance is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Licensed to practice in DC or eligible for waiver/admission
- A collaborative and well-established affordable housing and real estate tax practice
- Sophisticated, high-impact transactional work
