A leading international AmLaw firm is seeking a Specialist Paralegal (ITC/IP Litigation) to join its high-performing litigation team. This is an opportunity to support complex, high-stakes intellectual property matters for top financial institutions and global companies in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. This role will sit hybrid in Washington D.C.
This role is ideal for a senior litigation paralegal with deep experience in ITC and IP litigation who thrives in trial environments and enjoys taking ownership of complex case management responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate complex IP litigation matters, including proceedings before the International Trade Commission (ITC)
- Prepare and organize motions in limine, jury instructions, verdict forms, witness lists, exhibits, and trial binders
- Conduct and manage document review and productions using platforms such as Relativity
- Perform legal research using Lexis Nexis, Westlaw, PACER, EDIS, and USPTO databases
- Support depositions, arbitration, and trial preparation; attend trials and hearings as needed
- Coordinate filings in federal courts and agencies
- Build and maintain case databases and litigation files
- Partner with attorneys, internal departments, and external vendors to streamline workflows
- Direct and train junior team members
- Meet billable requirement of 1,725 hours annually
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of litigation paralegal experience
- 7+ years of IP litigation experience
- Extensive ITC experience (required)
- Strong trial and arbitration experience (required)
- Bachelor’s Degree (required)
- Advanced/Expert proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Transcript management (Live Note)
- E-discovery platforms (Relativity)
- Legal research platforms (Lexis Nexis/Westlaw)
- Court and agency systems including PACER, EDIS, and USPTO
