Intellectual Property Lawyer

A leading international top AmLaw firm is seeking an Intellectual Property Litigation Associate to join its rapidly growing IP Litigation practice in Washington, D.C. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior-to-mid-level associate to work on sophisticated, high-stakes intellectual property disputes in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

The ideal candidate will have at least two years of complex intellectual property litigation experience and the ability to contribute immediately to an active and demanding practice. Associates in this role handle significant IP disputes in federal courts and before the U.S. International Trade Commission, working closely with experienced litigators on cutting‑edge matters.

• ✅ Litigate complex intellectual property disputes in federal courts and before the U.S. International Trade Commission
• ✅ Draft pleadings, briefs, motions, and other litigation filings
• ✅ Conduct legal research and provide strategic analysis
• ✅ Take and defend fact and expert depositions
• ✅ Assist with trial preparation and overall case strategy
• ✅ Collaborate with senior attorneys and litigation teams on high-profile matters

• • J.D. from an accredited law school
• • At least 2 years of complex intellectual property litigation experience
• • Experience litigating in federal courts and/or before the U.S. International Trade Commission
• • Admission to practice in the District of Columbia
• • Excellent legal writing and analytical skills
• • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities

  Expected salary range (Washington, D.C.): $235,000 – $390,000 (based on experience and qualifications)
