Compliance Counsel

Our client is seeking a Compliance Counsel to join their team. As a Compliance Counsel, you will be part of the Legal Department supporting the Compliance team. The ideal candidate will have strong judgment, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Compliance Counsel

Location: Washington DC 20005

• Conduct compliance investigations, including witness interviews, reviewing and analyzing documents, drafting investigative reports, and presenting investigative findings.
• Provide legal and risk guidance to the Investigations team on relevant investigative matters.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Risk Management, Security, Human Resources, Internal Audit, and other internal partners on investigative and compliance issues.
• Draft compliance communications and assist in designing and implementing risk mitigation initiatives.
• Review and implement compliance controls and corporate policies to ensure adherence to legal standards.

• J.D. or equivalent degree with an excellent academic record.
• Bar membership in good standing.
• Six or more years of relevant experience as a practicing attorney.
• Proven experience in leading and conducting investigations across various subject matters and jurisdictions.
• Strong oral, presentation, and written communication skills, along with excellent organizational and project management abilities.
