An established U.S. law firm is seeking an experienced antitrust lawyer to join its Antitrust & Competition practice. This is a specialist role focused on Hart-Scott-Rodino Act (HSR) filings, supporting complex transactions including mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures. The role offers the opportunity to work closely with a collaborative national antitrust team on high-profile matters, with exposure to both U.S. and global merger control processes.
Responsibilities- Advise clients on antitrust aspects of mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures
- Prepare and manage HSR filings and related regulatory submissions
- Coordinate with colleagues on global merger control and competition issues
- Supervise and mentor associates
- Assist with fact development and deposition preparation
- Draft and review discovery responses, briefs, motions, and memoranda
- Collaborate with experts and contribute to case strategy
- Manage multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Admission to the bar in the applicable U.S. jurisdiction
- At least 8 years of relevant antitrust experience
- Substantial hands-on experience preparing HSR filings
- Familiarity with global merger control regimes
- Prior AmLaw 100 firm experience
- Government antitrust experience preferred but not required
- Strong research, analytical, writing, and communication skills
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
