Serve as a Judge Advocate in the United States Marine Corps and expand your legal career in a competitive community of attorneys who are dedicated to public service, national security, and quality counsel.
Marine Corps Judge Advocates begin their certification pipeline with Officer Candidate School (OCS) in Quantico, Virginia. Once they receive their commission as an officer and complete rigorous basic training, Judge Advocates complete their certification process with education on the Uniform Code of Military Justice at Naval Justice School in Newport, Rhode Island.
As active-duty Marine Officers, Judge Advocates will provide legal counsel on military operations, litigate criminal offenses, handle government contracting, and advocate for other service members.
Basic qualifications include:
- LSAT greater than 150
- Juris Doctor from an ABA accredited law school
- Currently certified good standing
