Senior Litigation Attorney

Established in 1964, Friedlander Misler, PLLC is a boutique law firm in Washington, D.C., known for its commercial real estate, corporate and litigation practices. The firm is currently seeking a senior level litigation attorney to join our team in Washington, D.C.

Our team represents clients in a wide range of commercial transactions and litigation. This attorney will be involved in all stages of litigation, from managing case development, discovery and motion practice to trial (as first chair) and must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of ten years of experience in a law firm litigation practice and a strong interest in handling commercial disputes across a variety of industries and legal subject matters, with a focus on commercial real estate and construction related disputes. The successful candidate is experienced at managing litigation workflow, including deadlines, filings, and multiple work streams across matters.

Strong legal writing and analytical skills, with experience drafting motions, briefs, and written discovery, are required.

Candidates should have deposition and large litigation experience. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential. Candidates must hold a juris doctorate degree from an accredited law school and be admitted to and in good standing with the D.C. Bar or qualified to waive into the D.C. Bar.

Portables are preferred but not required. The salary offered will be based on a number of job-related factors including, but not limited to, years of related experience, level of education, skills, credentials and certifications, responsibilities and performance.
